Qatar Airways orders 160 wide body Boeing jets with GE engines

Let's put it this way ( Beautiful engine ), I love DH on the A220 because the engine sounds "cool" on take off when they spool up ( A320 sounds like a whiney sewing machine/washing machine, and loud ) but I hate the sight of those planes anywhere near me on the ramp when its time for pushback.

It would drive me nuts flying anything that takes that long to start the engines. Ramp controllers hate it.

Since I don’t fly on Delta I won’t be on an A220 flight, but I’ve been wanting to see inside of these aircraft.

Comac C919 is ramping up, targeting 6/month next year, and continuing to ramp. C929 project (787, A350 type plane) is heating up as well. Originally, Russia was a partner with China, but they were forced to exit.

There may be a hitch.

COMAC's single-aisle C919 plane is made in China but many of its components come from overseas, including its LEAP-1C engine made by a joint venture between GE Aerospace (GE.N), opens new tab and France's Safran (SAF.PA), opens new tab. GE Aerospace did not offer an immediate comment.
The C919 - designed to compete with best-selling narrow-body models from Airbus and Boeing - entered service in China in 2023 after winning domestic safety certification in 2022.
