Are any pushrod V8s and V6s still made and available for new cars?

pretty much all are listed above.

no foreign manufacturer makes a passenger car engine with pushrods. the last was the bentley v8 that came out of production last year

scania still makes a pushrod v8 for their heavy trucks. mercedes might still make their pushrod 6

I don't know what "a giant LS" is.
LS has become synonymous with OHV v8's and that has been gm's cake so people have started to refer to all OHV v8's as LS even though that particular ohv v8 isn't even an LS at all. Like calling all lip balm chapstick. People will look at an lq4 or l96 and say LS. I cant bare a non LS engine being called LS, just cringe. Ford has gone to OHC but the 7.3 is their first ford OHV in a long time and its just a big engine thats all. i really hate that its a 7.3L and not a 7.5L 460cid

That's not what he was doing at all. He was saying that there distinct similarities between the two designs. Heads, block, COP, intake manifold, etc. It is designed quite similarly to the LS engine.

No one that's actually into cars calls all OHV engines "LSs". That's not a thing, and if it is around you, you need better friends lol.

All I have to do is go on yt and go on a vid with an old 90's chevy and people will call it an LS. Even read a guy call a hemi LS style like a Chevy. Maddening to me.
