Sadly, the previous Push Notification thread was locked. Why do I get asked if I want to never be asked again, if I get asked again and again and again anyway?
The site stores the information about whether or not to show you the push notation in a cookie stored in your browser. You gotta allow the cookie and make sure it persists to stop getting the notice. Kind of a terrible way to do it, but that's the way XenForo does it.
Edit: something tells me that maybe you already knew this but are being a wise guy? For comedic purposes? T'aint funny McGee.
Every few weeks I get a message at the bottom of the screen saying the site wants to send push notifications. I click the X to get rid of it. It offers options, one being NEVER ASK AGAIN. I click NEVER ASK AGAIN and yet in a few weeks here it comes asking again. I've said NEVER ASK AGAIN over a half dozen times at least. When will it stop? How do I make my choice record and be permanent? What makes it go away?
Deleting cookies when you close your browser does this. All my browsing history is deleted, even cookies, when I close my browser. Just ignore the notification and move on.
I don’t get asked. But my iPad isn’t running any software that deletes cookies.
If you are getting asked, either you, or a software program on your device, is deleting the cookie that recorded your previous response. The cookie is good for 10 years.
The OP question has been answered, again. Lock time.
