purolater oil filter L24011 and its 2 clones. pennzoil pz-29 and quaker state qs3980. all three are for the same application pf52. the first filter (smallest) is a quaker state qs3887 same as pf47. one reason they are less exspensive.

Yep, I just bought 6 of the ML-1008 Mann's for my truck. Green and yellow box and I was expecting the filters to be white with the decal on them. These are black with painted on logos. They are still made in the USA and are still Purolator Classic clones, not the black European goodness the other black ones are.

Be careful when lumping Motorcraft in as a "Purolator clone". While the MC FL820S and the Purolator L24651 may look very similar, MC filters are built to Ford specs and beside the obvious difference in bypass valve location, may have other internal differences as well...like the amount and type of media, for example.

note that the 2 purolator cone filters (QS 3890 and the PZ 29) are about 1/2 inch shorter than the purolator classic. all three of those filter are the same application as the ac-delco pf52 oil filter

There are some Motorcraft oil filters that are direct Purolator Classic clones ... the FL-822 is one of them.

They are obviously not clones as clones are identical. In addition we don't know what the media is or the sq ft of the media. Then there may be differences in the ADB valves. The pictures are nice and I like the green one best.:-)

Ive got one on my honda right now, when it come off i will cut it open to find out if it is or not.... Ill post it when I do..
