Pulled this off a John Deere today

That is the only English on the filter. I thought it was serviced by the dealer prior to our purchase but that doesn’t look OEM Deere.

When I was shopping for some filters for my Kubota I was pretty suprised to see how many filters like that were available on ebay and other places for like $2 less than a OEM filter.. I don't get it..

It's Japanese - says "Oil Filter".

I had the same type reciently. My wife had a shirt made just for me lol! That is an oe yanmar filter.

Many dealers just buy bulk from a supplier, but that could also be an OEM Yanmar filter.

That is an OEM Yanmar filter. The Yanmar canister fuel filters will look very similar from the Deere parts counter.

It's because it has a Yanmar engine. What is the piece of equipment?

BTW my translator app says it translates to "oil filter" (Japanese to English)

Yanmar engine makes sense although I would think the JD parts system would a JD labeled filter the way all their other stuff does.
This was on a 2018 Deere 210L we bought as a used rental from the dealer.

I believe all of the filters were replaced by Baldwins.
