Seriously though, that might be a bit more than expected but it's not a lot more. Nowhere near the definition of a money pit. A timing belt change at 112K is normal.
And why did he sell it just after getting it fixed up? That's the worst time to sell a car.

I am sorry but my impression of them is they are more of a money pit then must autos. I recommend staying away.
