Hey kids! Don't put your feet up on the dash! That's using a pyrotechnic device as a foot rest. If the car gets into an accident you'll end up with your knees behind your ears. And in the process, you're hip sockets will probably be blown out. That's gonna hurt. And then you'll walk funny for the rest of your life... I know, I'm "preaching to the chorus" here. Just had to get it off my chest.

Its not just kids,I've seen females in their 40s do it.I don't believe many of the vehicles they were doing that in where pre-mid 90s cars so there was an airbag under those legs.Of course none would be wearing seatbelts in that position so they would go flying in any kind of impact.

I remember a very passionate discussion here about "kids" being glued to their cellphones. I wish it was only "kids" glued to them walking down the street. I was behind an SUV on a Saturday afternoon and the driver was swerving and could not keep it in the left lane. Then at an very busy intersection the SUV almost ran a stale red light from the left turn lane. It was pure luck the SUV stopped. I thought the driver was intoxicated this did not appear to be the case she was glued to her cellphone texting and I highly doubt she is under the age of forty.

I'm pretty sure this scenario would end badly in a crash, with or without an airbag. Valid point for sure, though.

My brother's GF did this with her bare feet in Dad's truck. She left footprints in the vinyl that never came off. puke

One of my pet peaves, as well. My wife gets annoyed every time I point out how stupid having your feet up on the dash is. Her annoyance may have something to do with the fact that I tend to point out every idiot who treats his/her accelerator and brake pedals as on-off switches in traffic, those who don't signal their intent, and many other traffic action I consider inconsiderate to downright dangerous...nah, that's probably not it smile

On the headliner, I presume?

I see it all the time around here. Guys, girls. The worst was when I got passed by a guy with his left leg hanging out the door ... The DRIVER had a leg hanging out the door ...

now the driver with a leg out the door is a new one on me! I see it from time to time. I don't get how it'd be comfortable in the first place. But each to their own. Thankfully no one in the family does it.

Not only is it unsafe, but I hate seeing people's gross feet up on the dash as I pass them/they pass me. It's so unclassy (is that a word?) and I would never let any of my passengers do that in my car.

I posted recently about my daughter and her friends being hit head on by a wrong way (drunk) driver on a highway in Houston. Her friend in the front passenger seat had his feet on the dash. He had the worst injuries of all four, multiple broken leg bones, internal injuries (complete with a colostomy bag), and two weeks in ICU. DON'T DO IT. Can't be any plainer than that.

I see it often too. Usually (not 100%) its a female and they have their feet on the dash and the seat reclined with their smartphone in their lap.

I keep the interiors of my vehicles clean, if I saw someones feet on my dash I'd lob one off as a lesson.

Wow - never seen a LEG out of a window; if I ever see one I hope it's a good looking female one, but that's just so stupid, I can't even begin to describe HOW stupid it is.
