Print A New House With A 3D Printer

That was on the Phoenix news last night. Pretty messy looking on the outside painted white but the interior looked normal, they covered up the layers. Should be quiet .

Sort of reminded me of slump block construction, popular in the southwest because it supposedly mimics adobe. With some imagination.

I bet you can heat that place with a lightbulb. Nice and quiet too, good thing with the drive-thru speaker right behind the house. I wonder how many people are on site for that “printing” when it’s not the first one? Pouring the footings to hold the printer is a bit more work but I guess they can be shared between nearby houses in this type of neighborhood.

I think this is the future, especially in hurricane and tornado prone areas. Now if the roof can somehow be sturdier.

I would love to be done with wood and siding. Put in some good windows and a metal roof, and it's perfect for Texas and all its wind and hail and driving rain. Until the category 3 rolls in.
