Min standards:

Quote:
Both wet and dry boiling points exceed the minimum government standards. A comprehensive inhibitor package protects vital brake system metals.

Minimum Dry Boiling Point 460F (238C).
Minimum Wet Boiling Point 284F (140C).

Maybe for the dry, but isn't 284F the wet standard? Meet, sure. But exceed?

From wiki:
Boiling point ranges [2]
Dry boiling point Wet boiling point
DOT 3 205 °C (401 °F) 140 °C (284 °F)

There's better
I'm gonna be using Valvoline's DOT3+4

"Dry Boiling Point, °F (°C) (ERBP), min 446 (230)
Wet Boiling Point, °F (°C) (ERBP), min 311 (155)"

It's the closest we can get to Motorcraft fluid or ATE for us on a budget in terms of performance.

it exceeds the dry, doesn't it? 460 > 401

Even if the wet is the same, it doesn't have to exceed *both* to "exceed the standard"

Besides, regular fluid changes are much more important. However, if you still want more, get a DOT 4.

AMSOIL DOT 3 brake fluid:

ERBP: 271C (520F)
WET: 151C (304F)

DOT 4 fluid

ERBP: 304C (580F)
WET: 193C (379F)
