2016 2500HD, 6.0 vortec, 70k miles. AAFES has Pennzoil Platinum for about a buck more than Walmart supertech when you consider that I don't pay WA sales tax at AAFES.

Does PP have any advantage over Supertech full synthetic? I never saw any reason to run anything other than Supertech, but if the price of PP 5w30 is basically the same I may as well do a little research on it.

yeah i mean supertech was noticeably inexpensive and good quality. even assuming the quality has stayed the same, the price differential to PP considering no sales tax on PP makes it seem worth considering a change.

Also costco house brand is the same stuff as WM, and the normal price is $64. for four jugs. $3.25 per quart.

As long as it doesn't burn, use ST. If using PP for $1 more gives you warm fuzzies, then use it. In the end, maintenance and using a good oil filter is 1000x more important than brand of oil.

It isn't highline but this merger sounds disturbing
