Hi folks,

2008 Nissan Frontier V6 engine 105k miles.

was changing the oil today and notice what looked like oil on the power steering pump, alternator, brackets, etc...so, I kept looking around and noticed the power steering resevoir was really low..

I sprayed some engine cleaner on it and hosed it off.

Going to go check all the hoses as best I can, but any other areas to check for a leak? Where do they normally leak from?

Thanks

Hoses

Pump

Reservoir

Rack (including inside the boots)

Various fittings

You did good by cleaning it off. Now drive it for a day or 2 and find the origin

The crimp where the rubber piece and metal piece of the hose/pipe meets.

Just wrap your hands around the rubber piece and see if it is wet.

Cut off the old crimp...

cut off 1/2" or 13mm of the hose length, then slide up to where it was.

apply two small worm gear clamps, right next to each other but 180* apart around the hose.

Leak gone.
