Power Steering fluid sugg.

a while back, i posted about my power steering fluid flush dilema, after arx initial cleanuing and maintenance dose after, with LC at 3 oz, i flushed the power steering by removing the fluid completely fromthe reservoir. Then, turning wheel back and forth while the car is off, old fluidthat remained in the systemcame out as i continued to fill the reseervoir with new.Eventually ,clean fluid came out of the system, but after 20 miles of driving , the fluid got dark again, a little darker than honey. Has the rubber inside contaminated the fluid? should i change the rubber hoses now since i have 58k miles on the car since i bought it new at 6. its 02 Accord dx sedan.

You didn't get all of the old fluid out of the steering rack. That is hard to do.

What I do is about every six months I get as much as I can out of the resevoir with a suction device (a turkey baster usually works) and top off with fresh fluid. That way it is always being renewed and never gets badly depleted of additives.
