I posted about engine issues a shop is having that was doing a restoration for me. More issues??
He contacted me a while back and said they were having trouble figuring out the hoses on the power steering. Mentioned it again later. They were really lost and unable to figure out the 2 hoses. Even said it may have to be replaced.
Well about 3 weeks after he first mentioned having trouble figuring it out, the shop owner texted me and said they finally figured them out, but the gearbox was pouring fluid from all seals. Said it's cheaper to replace it than to rebuild.
But I was thinking about this yesterday. At that time, he had not even attempted to start my engine. So without the engine running, would he actually have known the gearbox was pouring fluid from all seals? Or more of his BS?
