My sockets are a mess. Im using the storage rails and they arent the greatest. What organization ideas are you using for your drawers?

This was a bit of a pain-staking process, but my old toolbox had something like this foam in it and I would use a silver sharpie to write which size socket, use the socket to trace a cut-out, and then cut out each socket and placed the foam in my drawer. That way I knew what I was pulling out right when I opened the drawer and could see what was missing with ease. I would recommend putting some sort of adhesive on the bottom though (maybe double sided tape) to help keep the 1/4" pad down though. I might also recommend a little bit thicker foam too, sometimes, depending on how hard the drawer was opened or closed, the sockets would get dislodged. If I had to do it over again (sometime soon, hopefully), I think I'd be tempted to go with a 1/2" foam instead.

Edit: Here's a picture similar to what mine looked like.

Picked up these Kobalt trays at Lowes on sale but Amazon has similar. I have them hanging on the wall but they also fit standard tool box drawers and are easy to carry to the workspace when necessary.

Depends on the size of the socket set, I use many different ones including Hansen trays, Ernst socket boss, generic aluminum rails. Anything but those awful metal clip types.

For pliers I use ML tools pliers rack, available under other brand names as well.

I think I counted over 30 ratchets in that drawer! Very nice.

I should also point out I work on motorcycles and NOT cars so it's fairly easy to keep my stuff pretty clean.

I see some Icon and Pittsburgh in there. Is the Icon worth the upgrade over the Pittsburgh?

I haven't used them enough to recommend them over the Pittsburgh line but I've been happy with them in the 6 or 7 weeks I have been using them. There is a 20% off ICON coupon floating around now ( I think today is the last day you can use it) if you're interested in picking up some Icon stuff.
