New to Son-i-l 2009 Sonata 2.4; 76,000 mi; he bought it 6 months ago. Out: assume factory fill; D&F, 5 quarts. In: Maxlife, 5 quarts. Ran errands in the car for a couple of hours, back in driveway, cool down, longer drain, 5 1/2 qts. out. In: Maxlife, 5 1/2 qts. Fluid comimg out was as dark as Hershey's syrup. The trans fluid and oil change pans were next to each other and you couldn't tell the difference. Thinking it was the FF, did a second D&F since I had the car for the day and I had 6 gals. of ML (AZ $10.99/gal) Second D&F still very dark with just a hint of red this time. I should have replaced 75% of the fluid with the 2 D&F's. Will do another at next oil change. Bottom drain plug, 15/16" socket makes changing the trans fluid easier than an oil change.

2012 Honda Odyssey, 35,400 miles Out: Honda DW-1 In: Honda DW-1 Second drain and fill. Fluid that came out looked much better than the first D&F. Tranny shifts even better now.
