6 quarts of this oil at Autozone this morning. The STP XL filter is FRAM made. Funny, I went to AutoZone 11 miles east and they are Premium Guard made. What gives?

Sure. Fram made in Mexico? ... more likely a M+H made filter.

Pretty sure all chryslers from that era used the same filter thread, as far as i know 51515 should fit the 3.3/3.8 V6 and 4.0 I6 but no idea about the 3.9

The truck specs a PH 16 so same thread size. Long as I have room I should be fine.

Picked up some Valvoline restore & protect 10w40 this afternoon. AUD$49/US$30 for 6L is the cheapest I’ve seen it in Aus.

I would say successful but someone was desperate and swapped the filter with a tough guard instead of the fram endurance. So I have to go back and exchange it. Or exchange it for something else like the mobil1 oil filter.
