Cleaning up the basement I stumbled upon a 5 quart jug of PU 5W30, I thought I was finished with it. Anyway I decided to use it in the 08 Liberty along with a quart of HPL's engine cleaner, and a Fram Ultra filter [old design]. It's in for a little over 100 miles at the moment. FTR, no I didn't overfill the sump, I have a quart of PU 5W30 remaining. ;)

out: Formula shell conventional 5w20
in: Standard Mobile 1 synth 5w20. Mopar filter as always.

I made the switch to M1 purely for OCD reasons. The jeep takes 6qrts and everything is sold in 5qrt jugs now. Coscto sells M1 is 6qrt cases (y)

Out: it started as 10w40 M1HM, but with the oil consumption and the fact that the oil filter adapter gasket started leaking and was replaced along with a lot of oil consumption, it was topped off with just whatever I had open so a combination of 5W-20 PHM, 20W50 GTX high mileage, and 0w-20 AFE.
Off: 2 OCI XG7317
In: 20w50 GTX high mileage

Wife's 2022 Hyundai accent (1011 miles):

Out: Factory fill

In: 4 quarts AcDelco 0w20
OEM oil filter (literally your only choice currently)

This is a strange cartridge style filter with a little extrusion on the bottom. That extrusion mates with a hole in the plastic cap that screws into the engine. It has 2 O-rings to seal where it passes through the cap. It also has a small hole at the end that a pin snaps through to lock it in place.

At first it seemed pretty complicated but it actually makes sense. You know the filter is fully seated since the pin wont go through if it isn't. The pin has a square head that is locked in place by 2 tabs. You get a new pin with every OEM filter. Easy to deal with overall.
