Quaker State is a SOPUS product, sounds like you got the conventional mineral oil, the boxed stuff is just a bulk pack that the oil change places use as it saves on packaging. Still the same oil inside the pack. Nothing to worry about, and QS mineral in 10W30 is a good oil.

The filter is technically a Kohler. But I use FRAM all the time. I just abhor the knee-jerk lemming-like fandom surrounding FRAM here on BITOG.
