Portable Tire Inflator

I am looking for a portable tire inflator which can be used to quickly top-off passenger car tires. If it is cig-lighter powered, I would prefer that it draws fewer than 15a so I do not need to worry about blowing fuses on most makes/models:

I used one of these for years:

I finally had it go out, or rather, it popped a fuse, so I upgraded to one of these:

I use these regularly for adjusting air pressure at the track.

I'd get one with the battery clamps only.
Ciggy plugs just heat up so much passing more than 8 amps.

I bought a Masterflow mv-50 back in late '07. I thought back then the cheapest Viair was nearly 400$.

I recently tuned mine up and retapped the head for standard air fittings because the thread on schrader valve was clunky.

My Masterflow has a 30 amp fuse, according to my battery monitor, it draws ~17, even as it nears 100 PSI.

Check out Campbell Hausfeld. I bought one about 10 years ago. Still runs and inflates tires every time (which is not often). I do not know the model number. A very good inflator.

I've got a Roybi. Comes with a built in light and a bunch of adaptors. Watch for a sale at Haggar's Dustbin aka Home Depot.

That 88P looks good. The MV50 is good. You are looking at the right class of compressor. The "300 PSI" units driven from the cigarette lighter are junk; they take a very long time to pump a little air.
