I will say bikes converted to mopeds and Fat tire E-bikes are replacing beater cars for a significant portion of the dirtbags. Which is always amusing in this weather.

I thought TX had their own grid (excepting the far west, El Paso, etc.)? That was part of the issue in '21. no interconnection with surrounding states?

From what I recall, there were a few interconnects but they were already strained since the surrounding states struggled to keep their own power on. NatGas ended up freezing in the pipes and couldn't get any trucked in because of the ice and snow.

Friday it warmed up to that and was sunny, no wind. A nice break from the cold and wind, Perfect time to do oil changes on the Pilot and Renegade.

I'm in Buffalo. I have to put either silicone or rubber grease on car door seal so it doesn't get frozen and ripped off.
Door seal is 300-400 bucks.

Ya'll are the reason humans will survive. Being from the south I could never survive up there. Those temps are brutal. and the salt rusting your cars and homes... wow! The fact that you stay there is mind blowing.

There is no dam way I would think about tolerating those temps. Give me a TEXAS summer any day and twice on Sunday.

You get to -20F ok no wind not bad if it starts blowing out in the wind to -70F to -100F wind chill thats my breaking point.
