Listened to a fantastic two part series from Jocko WIllink (former SEAL) on the founding of TOP GUN in Part 1 and in Part 2 interviewing a USMC Pilot, TOP GUN grad and later a TOP GUN instructor.
They have some amazing flight stories (carrier landings at night, low on fuel, zero visibility), the loss of dog fighting skills in Vietnam that led to the founding of TOP GUN and the excellence standard that has endured for 50 years.
