My friend just got the code and I wondered if anyone here know where the EGR system was located and how to repair/replace the parts affected?

Thanks.

Get yourself a haynes manual for $15 for his accord. Its Haynes Manual Number 42013. It has pictures and instructions on how to do this and more. It is also to have around for other maintenace things he might have to do.

P0401 = EGR insufficient flow detected.

The first thing to do would be to remove and clean the EGR valve. Storm's advice is good to get a manual for it. The trouble is either a partially clogged EGR valve, bad valve, bad EVP (EGR position sensor), or a possible vacuum leak in the associated hoses.
