  • Still doing research so my knowledge is infantile
  • When I had the sump installed the muny water line was right beside it, if I had known about water pumps- one would have gone in at the time, but I'm not opening the floor back up.
  • existing second sump was installed to separate the house weeping tiles from the sanitary sewer- this town has a long history of backflow which supercharged my tiles with the expected results. Although during severe weather events the power has not gone out since 2017 when I bought.....was thinking a small 2000w genset but that doesn't help if you are out of town.
  • Have a little giant pump 4.5amp that I would like to fit a deep cell to, thinking a 1500w inverter would do and 'insert' cca marine batt, looking for 0.5-2 hours run time........?

I have one sump in the furnace room, this is a second sump- and is directly pumping effluent from the weeping tile. This pump is the little giant. I do run wifi alarms in both sumps that push to my cell.
97% of the year the second sump is bone dry- it's the 3% that gets you.

Looks like I will go old school and run a deep cycle and invertor. Same company has the 200w inverter cheaper than the 1500w, any reason NOT to go with the 2000? Less efficient?
