Please give me your tool advice

Thank you for the links, as those prices are just crazy. While I have done my research on Harbor Freight, it seems most of the complaints come from people who just complain that they are all china made tools. Well, most are these days. I wouldn't have anymore confidence buying a Craftsman floor jack or torque wrench, with previous experiences I've seen.

One question I had is if it's fine to use impact sockets with a breaker bar/torque wrench? Impact sockets seem to be more prevelant online, certainly in deep socket applications.

Harbor freight has a lot of garbage but some of their stuff is pretty decent. You really need to go hold the tool in your hand to make a good decision. When you are at HF just read where the tool is made. Their made in taiwan tools are good. Chinese, india etc. not so much.

I used a HF 1/2" impact socket set as my main socket set for a while until I bought something better. Again HF impact sockets are decent too.

Instead of a big compressor and air powered tools, I would pick up a 50 dollar electric impact.

Also, a nice socket set, maybe a pry bar, and a torque wrench, and you'll be off to a good start.

Most of those are the main tools I use anyway.

Ratchet wrenches are handy as well, but not nescesary....patience is cheaper.

Just buy stuff at sears. The warantee is great, and the tools are decent quality.

Harbor Freight offers a few inexpensive breaker bars. I use the 1/2" version loosen lug nuts.

They also offer a ratcheting breaker bar for tight spots.

I have had the Craftsman 15" 1/2 inch drive breaker bar for years without any problems.
As mentioned, Kobalt (Lowes) also have some nice bars.
Just bought an Ace Professional (same size) that I keep in my pickup. That is a nice bar, also.
