Again, a clarification is needed:
Moly disulfide powder (MoS2) is an EP agent (additive) for gear lubes and greases.
Molybdenum Dialkyldithiocarbamate (MoDTC), or soluble moly, is a friction reducer and AW agent for engine oils and hydraulic fluids (actually molybdenum dithiophosphate is used in the latter).
Molybdenum Dialkyldithiocarbamate (MoDTC), can be used in concentrated amounts in greases as an AW/EP agent. MoS2 is the moly compond most used in greases as an EP agent.
Redline doesn't use MoS2 or MoDTC agents in most of their gear lubes.
Schaeffer's uses MoS2 in Gear Oils and Greases.
The majority of Gear Lubes today DO NOT contain chlorine compounds.
