Looks like a chunk of mouse bait/poison to me. I remember using that same stuff once in my garage and my wife ran over one as she was pulling out of the garage. His guts were full of it and left a nice green skid mark on the floor.

Ughh, definitely have another weekend project ahead of me. That tiny bit of debris that fell in is causing a buzz/rattle when i turn the fan on -_-.

Thats a mouse nest. I had a Rav 4 in the shop that was making a noise when the blower was on. Changed the filter, dropped the blower motor down, vacuumed the mouse out (you could feel it going through the vacuum tube), sprayed it with Lysol, no more noise in the blower or odor.
