I hear you on the arx but... Some people don't go by gut feeling w/ arx. I had substantially dirtier filters and did take pics before and after. The change was not all that impressive but it's more than I saw before or since with any other product.

But none of this changes the fact that you've made some interesting points here you haven't backed up about Supertech Synth. Here are UOAs performed on Supertech synth. None extremely stellar but none worthy of comments made here.

Now, weren't we talking about Platinum?

Yes we were which by the way happily is residing in the Accent this time!

Still have to send off the GC UOA..

We will also see how GC stands up to diesel soon enough.

I also finally saw that commercial everyone was talking about, it does seem a little out there but if it holds viscosity(which it will I suspect) then I don't forsee problems.

The weak TBN has me worried, I would pay more for a stronger additive package.

PP is Group V, which means that it isn't petroleum and isn't PAO. Yes, EOP, something new and good.

Please, where did you obtain this information? I can't find it anywhere including Pennzoil....no response from them.

You'd think it was Supertech.

I'm still unsure about Platinum. I haven't studied the UOAs, I admit. I've used it once but I have an extremely numb but dyno. I saved some for analyses but never have sent it.

O crud I meant that for Supertech...craap..

Supertech having the less then stellar additive package not PP. I'll spring for the TBN though when the time comes. I won't with GC because I'm not gonna use it again and I know it lasted because the last time it came back fine, minus the fuel from short winter trips.

Maybe you should point that out to the people who use Auto-RX and go by gut feelings and butt dynos.

Not that Auto-RX doesn't work because I know it does(first hand) but a lot can be had from just driving and listening to a car's engine. Something one UOA won't proof and if it only takes me one run of Supertech to find out it was inferior to the rest then there is no point to beat a dead horse in my case and keep wasting money.

Everyone goes by feeling on engine smoothness and relitive drivability when switching oils around and some even change it out early just because they don't like the way it feels. So in going by that I find what I say is very well substantiated.
