Go to
%WINDIR%\system32\drivers\etc directory within Windows.
Is there a "hosts" file present? It's likely only 1 KB....
If not, right click, create a new "text file" , and delete the .txt from the end....Windows will likely alert you....but just hit OK.
Now open this file and add the following line:
127.0.0.1 platform.twitter.com
followed by a carriage return.
File, Save.
It should now be blocked
