Just bought a set of 185/70/13 Pirelli Cinturato CN36s for my 75 Ford Capri, it had these exact tyres on it when it was new, they look awesome and i can't wait for them to arrive, outrageously expensive ( 800$ US ) but totally worth it.

Love them! Takes me back to the days of being a kid, reading through ”Car & Driver” in the school library and looking at all those high performance cars, with exotic tires like those Pirellis!

Even the cheapest tire at Walmart is better than any tire from the 70s :sneaky:

You'd probably be better off with the Vredestein Sprint Classic, if you really have to use a classic retro tire
These are retro tyres but with modern tyre technology and compounds.

Actually what Pirelli say about the CN36 and their classic line of tyres in general is that these will make the car handle better than with any modern tyre, the "edges" or "shoulders" of the tyre are far more round than any modern tyre, this allows for better grip as classic cars in general have softer suspensions and more body roll, that design allows for better grip around corners.

I've talked to several people who have these tyres on classic 911s, BMW 2002s etc and they almost unanimously agreed that what Pirelli says is true.

You can hardly get decent 13 inch tyres anymore, pretty much it's either crappy chinese tyres or expensive "boutique" classic tyres like these.
