Pirelli P7 Plus in that side are $137 each at DT

The 225/50 R17 94V SL BSW P7 plus is only $97 so a huge savings.

Also when we tested the elentra we rode a base model and it road better with the taller aspect tires. I got the Elantra for my wife's car for commuting and taking trips, I already have a sports car so would like a softer ride.

It's like $40 less per tire.

What do you think?

That size change gives you a 5% bigger tire, which means your speedo is off by 5% and you may have fitment issues. 5% is outside my comfort level, less than 3% is my target.

I love the Nokian Entyre 2.0. Probably an excellent fit for your Prius, as Nokian markets it as low rolling resistance. https://www.discounttiredirect.com/buy-tires/nokian-tire-entyre-2-0/p/25060

Try them out for thirty days, Nokian has a thirty day buy and try happiness guarantee on them.

+1, like my Entyre 2.0's a lot.

You can downsize to 195/65-15 with no problems

Thanks for all of the feedback. The flat was on the passenger front position. The driver front tire was at about 4.5/32” but the two rear tires were over 5/32”.

Instead of replacing all 4 tires, I decided to replace the two front tires only. The rear tires have over 50% remaining so I could not justify replacing them. So I bought two more Premiers to match the rears. The new tires are now on the rear axle and the 50% worn tires are on the front axle.

Perhaps on the next full set I will consider the Pirelli’s.

Had those on my limited, and Wife still has on her GT. Excellent dry handling, wet handling is good until you get down to the wear bars (like any tire), average noise, no other complaints. I would buy them again.

I have the exact same Pirellis from Discount Tire on a Cadillac DTS. Above average performance and they seem to be wearing well. I would buy them again.
