yep, backed to backed a Pipercross years ago against a K&N on a race engine on a dyno. The K&N delivered more HP/torque in that particular application.
Personally, in a road application I'd use none of the two you've listed or a K&N as none of them are particularly good filters (in terms of filtration) for anything I drive. IMO they aren't a patch on the OE and Donaldson filters I use.
