From my 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee 195mm 3.06 ratio
rear differential. 160k miles. It Was run almost dry for a long time before I bought it. New differential now.

many owners seldom check differential or drivetrain lubes, let alone change them! pay some now or more $$$ later!
 
I bought an entire rear carrier out of a wrecked jeep on the auction website. And had it installed. It sounded so bad I figured it was entirely ruined. So I thought it best to replace the whole thing. 300 for the part and 365 to put it in.

I should mention it's a ZF made unit which I think is mercedes. And there were 3 carrier bearings this was from the smallest one closest to the driveshaft.
