I frequently see a lot of huge boats on the dry, but that takes the Cake by a long shot! I'd love to tour that place right now. Fantastic! Get a load of the size of those props.
 
She has a lot of miles on her and it shows. Being said the Nimitz looks better now then the Kitty Hawk did in 03. We came along side the Kitty and the Connie for the last rendezvous between the two sisters and although awesome it was also melancholy because both needed to be retired because both had seen better days. The Nimitz here shows at the very least the hull has been better maintained.

When I was in the USN I was stationed aboard the USS Essex CVS 9. At that time she was known as "The Oldest and The Boldest". Indeed, the oldest operational carrier on the planet.

Now CVN 68 is the oldest. I suddenly feel very ancient!!!
