Can anyone tell me how my android phone could have captured these header flames, but no car? I took the picture this spring at the Joliet Friday night qualifying session, but just noticed the anomaly today.

A larger picture would be helpful to see if it's photoshopped.

If it's the original, the picture was taken in low light with slow shutter speed. The car, which is darker than the flame, does not get proper exposure on the sensor. Since it moves fast, the end result is a visible absence from the picture.

It's definitely not Photoshopped - taken from my phone and always been in only my possession.

If you look really close at the photo in question you see there is something there blocking the lower part of the Lucas oil banner. It comes down at an angle like the bodywork on a car would. And it looks like a streak just leaving the flames.

Very slow shutter speed - notice that the guy walking by at the bottom of the photo is blurred. I'm sure the car was moving a lot faster than he was!
