I suspect the underbody cladding is more for aerodynamics at 200mph rather than corrosion protection.

Underbody functions are very important. The car has 1,700 lbs. of down-force at 130 MPH for example. The car weighs in at 2,700 lbs by itself. aehaas

NICE CAR DR.! I don't remember where I read the article, But it's written somewhere that Michael Schumacher had problems driving that car. Be Carefull! It's soooooo beautiful!
