I would like to start a topic that shows old photos of oil in cans from back in the day.
Does anyone have any photos they can post? I'd like to see some old Castrol GTX or Valvoline, or any other brand of oil in the old cardboard canisters they use to package oil in.

These are all cardboard containers in my stash.
The Veedol is the oldest, rated "API Service MS DG DM 100% PENNSYLVANIA"
The Valvoline is 10w-20w-40 API Service SC SD SE CA CB CC
The Quaker State is SAE 30 API Service SC
The Kendall is 10w40 API Service SE

I have two cardboard ATF containers, but no photos. They are Sterling Approved Type A and Shell Donax TG/Dextron II

My dad gave it to me when he gave me his old chainsaw years ago. I remember he ran this stuff in our snowmobiles and the chainsaw. It's a nice green color.

The cans are nostalgic but I was so happy when the plastic bottles came out. The spouts on the cans always leaked it seemed and it was hard to keep a partial quart clean.

I have a few. I'll try and get pics posted. A good percentage of those cans were made in Saint Louis, at Boise/Cascade's can plant located along highway 70 back in the early 80's.
