Not much to see here, but I like to cut them open and post pics ;) Came off my Silverado at 5,000 miles with M1 EP 0W-20.

I run these on my 5.3 as well and they are fine if you use the OLM as your reference to change the oil. Generally that means a tad longer than 5,000 miles for me. Going for a extended OCI I would use something else.

Looks like it got the job done. First generation ACDelco ecore for GM with the "polyester" (GM description linked*) endcaps. I never read that description before GM Insight release. As noted second generation Champ ecore now metal as linked. Lots of zeroes in manufacture date code, best guess, 30th (Jan) day 2020.

Thanks for c&p.

Not Bad!

The newer made PF-63 filters have metal end caps again. Might be something to keep an eye on
Interesting. But I still don't like that large core on the e-cores, it shortens pleats and takes away media area.

I never had ANY issue with the old CHAMP non e-cores. Heck even my new 2020, 2-liter FORD 4 cyl came with a OE CHAMP
from the Cleveland engine plant
