Penz Plat and Maxlife Syn

well i was in walmart today to get a prestone radiator flush kit and i went and browsed through the oil section like i normally do.

I noticed that the Maxlife Fully Syn was priced a $4.48...not bad considering it seems to be highly favored over Synpower.
then i noticed that the PP is still at $3.97.

which would be a better buy, i hear good things about both, what should make me spend roughly 50 cents more for the Maxlife?

That's not a fair fight...Maxlife Syn gets my bet. I don't know anything good about PP, once I discount the "it made my car smooth commments", which mean nothing.

Well, the MaxLife Syn really does seem to be a good oil. Better than the PP, well, only your car can tell you that by wear numbers.
Or you could just buy both

I would have had a PP vs ML UOA comparison on my car, but the PP sample seems to have been lost by USPS.
The Maxlife Syn does seem quieter compared to the PP, though. I know that's enough to sway some people.
