The problem on certain Saturn years was the piston design used had no ring oil return holes. That would mean unless you continue the nanny driving, you may burn oil no matter what you do. The best method to keep the rings uncoked would be occasional piston soaks with Kreen.

Sentence #1: Agree.

Sentence #2: Possible, but I'm doing my best so it won't happen.

Sentence #3: Agree, along with my PU regiment.

Oh, I got my PU stash uo to "7" 5 Qt. Jugs at home.

LOL. If I stashed that much I'd be using oil thats been on the shelf in my garage for 4+ years, 5 years is the shelf life of unopened oil. I like my oil fresh from the refinery, and think oil brews change more often than we know.

PU is a very high quality oil, well built, use it with confidence,if Mobil disappeared tomorrow this would be my oil of choice.

Not in the conventional sense. It uses camshaft to provide EGR.

It is supposed to prevent intake manifold build-up like what you get through conventional EGR.

Essentially, the camshaft timing changes to allow some slight reversion on the exhaust side, effectively creating EGR.

Here's a Ford thread:

My EGR threw a TON of carbon back in my case (reason it's plugged as of now)
Just had to find other ways of cooling/cleaning is all.

I do a seafoam treatment every 1500miles and put phenolic gaskets to assist with this. Not going to do the water/meth injection just yet.

Good thread. It does link to the BG stuff though, which I feel is biased, since they are trying to sell you a product.

When Ford did their EB tear-down at SEMA, it had no valve deposits.

Whether this is due to the trucks having perhaps better "programming" than the cars? I don't know.

From the pics, I don't see much of a difference. Now doing it every 1500, might make a difference and empty your wallet, speaking of which. BG and SF prices are MTL going up again.

LAME

Where in Tennessee? There are some in Nashville and in the Memphis area all there is around here is Oakland. Ive stocked up on about 30 jugs and 60 or so quart bottles.

Best group 3 available, worth buying it from Amazon. Always free shipping and around 45 bucks for 6, sometimes it is on sale too. if i was going to use a group 3, Ultra would be it!!
