Both the Mobil 1 ATF and the RP synchromesh are an average 7.5 cSt.
If I had a choice between fluids, I would run the RP synchromesh or the Pennzoil Synchromesh anytime over ATF because the latter two have a better AW and EP package than does the ATF. In fact, ATF's usually just have an AW package with little or no EP additives.
BTW, Texaco also has a synchromesh fluid called MTX, as do some boutique gear oil manufacturers.
