for the last 4 oil changes in my truck ford 4.6 i have used nothing but blended oils, the latest mobil 7500 wich im getting ready to send it for uoa(my first one). but anyways went to walmart and couldnot find the 7500 blend and i saw pennzoil on sale so, thats what i have for my next oil change,by using this oil im i taking a step backwards or is it a good choice(regular pennzoil yellow label). my other big question is if i should be running a 10w30 since its getting hotter now (90's) i would like to but its a big no-no for ford, thats why i stay in the middle 5w30 couse im really not a fan of 5w20 oils, well tks for your comments

The only way to answer your question is by including how long your oil change intervals are.

Pennzoil is fine oil. If your intervals are roughly 4K (example), regular Penn is fine. If it's longer, then just add 1-1/2 - 2 quarts of Pennzoil synthetic for an approximate 33% blend. That brings you back to a synthetic blend.... good for roughly 6K (example).

Mobil has such a large product line now that some Super Wal-Marts don't carry the 10W-40EP or the Clean 7500. Just not enough shelf space.

You have made a good choice. That's what I'll be running in the Ford's I'm taking care of since Wally dropped Motorcraft and the price went up. Pennzoil now.

regular pennzoil is one of the best dino oils you could buy... Maybe the best.

First I would stay with the 5W30 in the Ford. The regular Pennzoil you bought will do a fine job for you. Good Group II+ base stock and a good dose of moly. I believe you will be pleased with the results, and I would not be be affraid to run it 4K to 5K. Enjoy.
