Here is the recent UOA for an '05 Cobalt with 290,500 miles. Oil used was Pennzoil HM 5W30, and top off oil (1 qt) was Pennzoil 5W30. Pennzoil has been used for the past few changes. The sodium level caught my eye as being high, but it is possible that some Valvoline was used to top it off at some point during the interval.

Lab used was ALS.

Only major issues have been the automatic transmission. First transmission went out at 30k. It was replaced with a used transmission, and that one lasted until 285k. Another used transmission went in, and I suspect we'll use this car until something else major pops up. It's been a really good car so far (knock on wood)!

Mostly highway (say 2/3 of the miles), but daily drive to office is only 8 miles.

Looks excellent, 5.5k on conventional with a 4.1 TBN remaining is exceptional. Pennzoil is just awesome. You could run it much further no doubt.

Only thing out of place is the sodium and you already addressed that.
