PCV valve and short trips

Having read a couple of posts here on how short trips are harder on the engine, because the additive package gets used up quicker, would this mean the PCV valve would need to be replaced more frequently - compared to a vehicle that mainly sees highway trips?

I wouldnt think so. The only ill effects i can see with shorter trips is like you said about additive package and moisture build up. Thats why take her on the freeway every so often.

How many miles do you drive one way that you consider a short trip, isn't it fairly warm where you live.

My vehicle never sees short trips, it's 90% highway and 10% city. Minimum trip consists of 15 miles one way. I was just asking out of curiosity.
