So we are in the 'political season' that seems endless. Many areas of problems and various fixes. It seems that the discussion rarely actually gets to a root cause, but some 'band-aid'. Over the years I've more and more come to the idea that much is simply too many people=more and more and more in a finite world. Seems like a simple look at the numbers makes it pretty clear...but almost nobody talking about it.

The moneygo-round of exponential interest (the wonders of compount interest that you were taught about as a kid) requires perpetual and exponential growth to stop the head catching up with the tail and collapsing itself.

In the past, when the population has been reduced, the black plague leads to the renaissance, WW1 gives us the roaring twenties and WW2 followed by the 50's 60's.
Isn't making more babies the government's preferred method to give welfare people a pay raise? It's a good system because all that money comes from the government. That means it free. When it's government money there's no need for a budget or a spending limit. They can always print more. Because all this stuff is free you're going to continue to see more and more babies.
