The past 2 tanks on the truck, I've used Fuel Power. The last fillup, I even added a little over 1/3 Super Unleaded- 8 gal in a 22 gal tank. So when I went to fill up yesterday, first I filled a bottle with FP,figuring ~3.5 to 4 oz for the fillup- which I estimated at 18 gal or less- & so guestimated that 6 gal of Super would be 1/3 or a bit over. 6 gallons of Super. 6 gallons.
At the pump, I was still thinking of 6 gal of super- 6 gal of super- and put in the FP, then put in 6.003 gal of Super 93, then filled up with 10.893 gal of Reg 87. So just under 17 gallons, 6 gallons Super was just about right.
3.5 oz of Fuel Power woulda been jsut right too, especially since the previous tank was very slightly under the std 1 oz/5 gal dose.
But guess how many ounces I put in? (Hint- *6* gal of Super, 6 gal of Super...)
Oh well, 2 1/2 oz extra FP in 22 gallons of gas won't hurt anything & may offer a little extra cleaning.
Moral- when you're doing anything but a straight fillup w/no additives, be careful what you think!
