Hi guys,

I have heard there are All Data, Mitchell, and etc. online technical sources. What do you recommend and the pros/cons of each?

Let's just say I only want to change the timing belt and would like to purchase just that part of the manual, can I do that?

I would also like to be able to print a hard copy to look at while I am working on the car. I am heading toward the automotive career and would like the most beneficial one overall.

Thanks

Go to the library for free and use their manuals for your car.
Consider buying one for a simple timing belt job.

Online services are mostly for pros.

What kind of vehicle are you looking for information on?

Many automakers make their OE information available in an affordable manner by offering it in limited form. The two most common are giving you a limited time subscription or giving you full access to a single vehicle and model year.

With the limited time subscription, you'll have enough time to print out what you need before the subscription expires. The limited content subscription lets gives you access to a full manual at any time, but only for the vehicle and model year you paid for.

As an example, GM offers a three-day subscription for $20 through their AC Delco TechConnect service. This gives you full access to all their information for three days. Ford does things a bit different. You only get one vehicle for $20, but you get it for an entire month.
