Have a case of the older Amsoil Gasoline Stabilizer, before ethanol fuel (I think). It probably doesn't work on solving ethanol damage problems but can I still add it in just to get rid of it and not throw it out? It says that it can be used in diesel too, I wonder if it would contaminate the particulate filter on newer vehicles? Doesn't say anything on the bottle about being safe for cat. converters either...

I use pink sta-bil (not advertised as helping with E10) willy nilly, probably 2-3x the proper dose, and my OPE starts 6 months later without being gummed up.

So I'd say your stuff, at best, will work for its intended use!

Cats have been around for forty years so if your amsoil stuff wrecked them we'd hear about it by now.

That's true, wonder if it would help clog the newer diesel particulate filters, it seems that almost anything you could add to the old ones is no good for the newer diesels.
