To me, that deck looks like the later design than my gramdmas old Brick Top. Same handle bars, it was a dark metalic green deck, with a metallic orange / copper colored engine color. Like this one, a 1955 [Linked Image]

There is a lever on the choke butterfly that fits thru the hole in the end. the feature with the arrow allows the choke to pivot and actuate the ignition grounding spring. It is an interlock so if you are able to pull up for choke, the Ignition is on. Rod

I believe I saw this on a LB Facebook page. Looks good aside from the orange paint. I have an old commercial mower that the PO used an Easter egg green with a hint of grey. I would have much rather it been left alone.
