Incredible what some of those vehicles are being sold for. Some folks must have too much money!!!!!
I, the lovely, talented, Obbop, star of neither stage nor screen, huddled in the shanty, bawls endlessly while reminiscing, pondering the past...back...back.... to 1974 when the Plymouth Superbird could have been mine for $1,800 and the 1971 'Cuda with 440 and 4-speed and convertible top could have been bought for $2,800.
Sniff.
No place to store the vehicles so I walked on by. If only circumstances were different, if a family member had a place where I could have kept one or both vehicles while I wandered the planet.
Sniff.
Coulda' sold 'em today for BIG bux and wouldn't be wondering which BIG cardboard box and which overpass would be my retirement home.
Sniff.
Still, it's kinda neat peeking at some of those older muscle cars, etc. Fellow old coots would likely revel more than the younguns who grew up with the smogger machines... or later.
Oh yeah, modern technology has created awesome machines that can pulverize most of the old iron but there IS a certain panache' to the old muscle cars.
