Old 5qt jug Mobil 1 0w30 - any issues using?

I've got an older 5qt jug of M1 0w30, there's no issue with running it in my 2014 Odyssey? Want to use it up, and will run it from March to September in Ohio. Thanks.

You'll be fine. Just give it a little shake before you pour it in the crankcase.

As long as it's still factory sealed it's totally fine.

I got bottle off the shelf and the bottle is all sucked in. Checked seal and it's intact. Can't hear it shake since there is no space to shake it. It's also ApI SM, don't know whether that would make much a difference in 2014 odyssey. Thanks.

That's an excellent question. Not sure. Since is API SM and not dexos, 2010 or earlier.

Bottle being all "sucked in" seems unusual to me.

Apparently it is called "panel sink" and the causes can range from harmless to potentially problematic for the contents. If it is only the headspace (air) leaving the bottle it isn't an issue.

Being sucked in would concern me. I'd either find a use for it, but not in one of my vehicles, or recycle it.

I still have ‘red cap' 15w50 Mobil1 from like 12 years ago, I mix with fresh oil.
